Echo & The Elephants of Amboseli

This is the incredible story of Echo, a wise elephant matriarch in her sixties living in Southern Kenya alongside fifteen hundred other wild African elephants. As oldest female and head of the family, Echo must guide four generations of her relatives through famine, and protect them from attack by lions and the growing conflict with angry Maasai farmers. Observing her as they have for the past four decades are American scientist Cynthia Moss and her team from the Amboseli Trust for Elephants.

With over 500 Panasonic Varicam rushes tapes we completed the full post production on this project, from Offline through to Online, Grade and Sound Mix in HD and 5.1 surround.  We also provided all of the frame rate conversions from the Varicam to a 25fps project.
